Expressive Arts

Expressive Arts... at Beaverwood we encourage students to express themselves through a range of activities.

All four subjects are compulsory until the end of Key Stage 3. Physical Education remains compulsory until the end of Year 11. At Key Stages 4 and 5, girls have the option to pursue each of these subjects at GCSE, AS and A-Level.

This faculty currently combines Art, Dance, Music and Physical Education. These four departments are greatly involved with extra curricular activities providing opportunities for girls during the lunch hour and after school.

Whilst excellence is pursued, no girl is prevented from taking part in any activity in order to further develop her talent and experience.

In recent years, the faculty has been involved with a Dance Production of West Side Story (2003), a Musical Production of Annie (2005), Grease (2007) and Oliver (2009) as well as Dance Productions (Cats in 2006, Nutcracker in 2010), various Art & Photography Exhibitions, Recitals, Concerts and Showcase evenings.
