 Governors

The Governors' Policy is to give the Headmistress and Staff as much freedom of action as professionals require to carry out the aims of the school efficiently, and in the best interests of the students, within the context of local and national requirements. The aims of the school are:

  • to prepare each student for adult life by developing her potential to the full, spiritually, morally, socially and intellectually, and promoting her physical, creative and manipulative skills;
  • to provide a caring, co-operative environment which fosters her intellectual, social, racial and religious tolerance;
  • to develop an awareness of self, and the habit of self-discipline and responsible behaviour;
  • to enable her to become a contributing and self-reliant member of society;
  • to enable students to develop a culture of achievable high expectations within an environment of educational excellence.The full Governing Body meets, at least, once a term.
